Along the banks of the Cagway, on an island in the Caribbe
There was a Grand old city, since sunk down into the sea
Along the Banks of the Cagway, Pirates walked and roamed
Now we are left with their legends, and a few sunbleached bones

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free

Along the banks of the cagway, was a town called Port Royale
Where the buccaneers made merry, with wine and song and their gals
Along the banks of the Cagway, was the new world's Sodomy
Where thieves and strumpets made merry, with riches from the Caribbe

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free

Along the banks of the Cagway, Great galleons would sally forth
To plunder the Spanish Strongholds, and leave them ravaged and scorched
Along the banks of the Cagway, strode Admiral Henry Morgan
It was him who commanded the buccaneers and this empire ran

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free

Along the Banks of the Cagway, was the home of the Brethren of the Coast
Where'd they'd return with the plunder they'd earned, and raise a glass in toast
Along the Banks of the Cagway, these bold  men were wild and free
For it was the buccaneers, who truly ruled the Car-i-bbe-an Sea

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free

Along the Banks of the Cagway, There were Whores and killers and Theives
All plying their trade to the end, in the heart of the Caribbe
Along the Banks of the Cagway, struck the quake 1692
And the surviving buccaneers, were all too a pitiful few

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free

Along the Banks of the Cagway, All we have left with is the lore
And we tell the tales of the Mauraders, and those that came before
Along the Banks of the Cagway, are forts sunk into the sand
But walk the Banks of the Cagway, and you'll be where the ghosts of buccaneers stand

And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So Sing us a song of the sea
And the Tradewinds blow past the Cagway, So sing of its buccaneers free
The City of Port Royale was built on the banks of a sandbar/ peninsula called the Cagway, or the Palisadoes, And Along the banks of the Cagway the buccaneers and pirates of the caribbean once roamed
