    “Old…  alone….”  Hook tried to swallow past the lump that had formed in his throat.   Every part of his body was screaming “No! No! No!”  But despite his best attempts to find a ‘happy thought’ that would lift him from an untimely end, he had sunk so close to the ocean’s surface that he could feel the shockwaves of the great beast’s jaws snapping at his heels. “Done for.”  He half-wept.
